Create an iPhone skin design for Firefox Home!

Our ‘Home is Where the Phone is’ design challenge celebrates the launch of the Firefox Home application for the iPhone (and iPod Touch) which gives users access to their Firefox history, bookmarks and tabs.

The goal of this challenge is to create a design that may be made into official Mozilla iPhone skins. The top 5 designs will be highlighted on the Creative Collective homepage, blogs and may have the chance to be featured on the Mozilla website as official merchandise. The winning design will also have extra special recognition with the Champion of the Collective badge.

Think about a design that encompasses themes such as:

Get up and go. Easily pick up where you left off with Firefox.
Home sweet home. Access your favorite parts of the Web anytime and anywhere.
Don’t start from scratch. Enjoy the convenience of leveraging your Firefox browsing history.
Comforts of your web. Your private data is protected and always with you.

We DO NOT want images of phones or any text in the design.
Aim for creative designs that are thematic and abstract.
You MUST incorporate the Firefox Home logo in your design (please adhere to our style guide and do not modify the logo).
Using the Firefox logo in your design is discouraged.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to read these guidelines before creating your design. Designs that do not follow the specifications will not be considered.

Files must be in .JPG or .PNG files (300 dpi).
You MUST adhere to the specified dimensions and templates.
Be sure to hold onto the original working files because if you win we will need those (and preserve the layers).
Add a description to your design to share your thought process and provide additional details. Use the “Share This” link to show it off! It may help win you votes, too.
You can submit as many designs as you want, and team submissions are allowed.
Please review the challenge rules and the Mozilla privacy policy for more information. By submitting a design, you are giving us permission to use it as we see fit.

A Mozilla team will select the top 5 designs and the community will have 2 weeks to vote on the winner. The top 5 will be evaluated on creativity of the design, effectiveness at communicating key themes, and adherence to the above creative brief; The top 5 will also receive Minister of Design badges. To determine which designs may be manufactured into iPhone skins, an expert panel of judges will take into consideration the community favorites as well as how well the design(s) uphold the Firefox Home vision.
